Christmas Leopard

To finish off my last holiday mani that was all dolled up with Christmas spirit, I wanted something festive... but not too overdone. I opted for a classic red and green leopard.
  1. Apply 1 coat of CND Stickey base coat
  2. Apply 1 coat of OPI Color So Hot It Berns to each nail except the accent nail
  3. On the accent nail, add 2 coats of China Glaze White Cap
  4. Apply 1 coat of China Glaze Mrs. Claus to each nail except the accent nail
  5. Using a dotting tool and acrylic craft paint, make random dots in red and green on your accent nail
  6. Surround those dots with mini parenthesis in black craft paint
  7. Finish with 2 coats of CND Super Shiney top coat
UM... I'm definitely digging this leopard look. It's holiday-spirited, but unexpected with the colors. I wish I would have done every nail in the awesome leopard nail art!

Christmas Present Bows

I'm totally in the Christmas spirit! I can't resist playing with fun new designs and colors to create some holiday-themed nails.

Today's nails are Christmas presents. Do you like them? I used 1 coat of OPI Color So Hot It Berns, 2 coats of OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy With It, and the accent nail was done with China Glaze Hologram.

Of course I did the present nail art with my trusty Sharpies. I'm all about Sharpies these days.

2 small rants about this mani:
  1. I'm not sure how the bloggers I read swatched Gettin' Miss Piggy With It, but the ONLY reason I bought it was because of the awesome small red and large hexagonal silver glitters in it. However, this polish is super difficult to get the large hexagonal glitter out of. I mean, I still like it... but it just isn't as cool as some of the swatches I've seen.
  2. Sharpies are sometimes really difficult to work with. Why? They smear. You have to be so super careful when applying top coat because it will smear it all down your nail. So watch out if you try to use Sharpies for your nail art!
OOH! And my Reina Perfume Giveaway ended yesterday. Are you the winner???

Snowflake

Oh, this look was so simple! I'm not usually a fan of metallics, but China Glaze Millennium rocked this look. I applied 2 coats of Millennium to my nails, and 2 coats of China Glaze Blue Paradise to my accent nail. And of course... I took it easy and freehanded the snowflake with a metallic Sharpie. Cuz that's how I roll, yo.
